The affigene® CMV trender

affigene® CMV trender allows correct monitoring of viral load from whole blood and plasma with high sensitivity and wide dynamic range utilizing real-time PCR detection on three different platforms. The complete process is CE labelled from sample to result when using the affigene® DNA extraction kit for sample preparation. The affigene® analysis software provides the result in copies/ ml for positive samples.

Ease-of-use and security

All affigene® assays use the same PCR profile which enables multi-target runs, with any combination of assays (CMV/ EBV/ HSV/ VZV/ BKV/ HBV/ Aspergillus) in the same run. The ready to use reagents are provided in flexible single-use format. This together with the included UDG-technology minimizes the risk for contamination which may lead to false positive results. To avoid false negative results an internal control is provided to be included in the sample preparation process.
