HBV trender in WHO genotype panel 2009 - collaborative study

In 2009 the Whorld Health Organisation (WHO) and the Paul-Erlich Institute (PEI) organised a collaborative study to evaluate an international genotype panel for HBV, intended for Nucleic Acid based diagnostic testing.

We participated in the evaluation togehter with 16 other laboratories around the world. The affigene HBV trender assay performed well in this test, detecing all HBV genotypes represented in the samples with good accuracy in quantitation and small variation.
